POST GRADUATE STUDENTS, DEPARTMENT OF SOCIOLOGY DRUMS SUPPORT FOR HON. BOBBY EKPENYONG.
A delegation of Post Graduate students from the department of Sociology led by Mr. Philip Inyang, on Friday 25th of February, 2022 declared total support to the Former Mayor of Calabar and currently the Director General of Cross River State Waterways Agency upon hearing his political ambition in the state come 2023.
This was made known during a meeting with him in his private residence.
The leader of the delegation Mr. Philip who started by thanking the Governor for his good works and also allowing Hon. Bobby hold a vital position in his Government as the DG of Cross River State Waterways Agency and stated that in line with the current political atmosphere and hunt for effective leadership come 2023, that Hon. Bobby Ekpenyong is the best option for a better Cross River State whether in the Peregrino House or at the Green Chamber.
Jude emphasized on the legacies and landmark achievements of Hon. Bobby during his time as the Chairman of Calabar Municipality, MD submit Hills Estate and even as the Senior Special Adviser on Obudu Ranch Resort.
In his words, “We are aware of all the good things you did as the Former Mayor of Calabar, the Infrastructures, good working environment and a lot more. Most importantly the lives you have touched in Cross River as DG. You are a man loved by all and we the PG students of this prestigious citadel of learning and even the youths of this state will love to feel a touch of your uncommon transformation.
On this note, we hereby call on you to Declare and join the race for 2023. We shall mobilize across the state to support you and ensure that you succeed in taking over the mantle of leadership.
In response to the demands and yearnings of the Post Graduate students, Hon. Bobby Ekpenyong thanked the students for the trust and vote of confidence passed on him and thanked the students from Sociology Department for believing in his leadership style. He said, you all know that I am a lover of good things which I believe so much on human capacity development as well as doing my best in different capacities entrusted to me as the former Chairman of Calabar municipality, MD Submit Hills Estate, SSA to the Governor on Ranch Resort and even as the DG of Cross River State Waterways Agency. To the best of my ability, I am focused on delivering the mandate given to me by His Excellency the Governor of Cross River State and so your Demands and Yearnings shall be put into consideration if the party consider me fit by answering this call to join the race in the state come 2023 and I can assure you all seated here that Southern Senatorial District and Cross River State shall experience Uncommon Transformation. Our prayer is LET GODSWILL BE DONE IN CROSS RIVER STATE, he added”.
